Quick Thoughts on Game 7

Going into game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, I did not know what to expect.  Any and all outcomes were possible in my opinion.  I simply could not pick who would win tonight.  With Indiana's size advantage over the Miami Heat, it would have been easy to choose them.  However, the one thing that kept me from choosing the Pacers to win tonight's game was their offensive struggles.

The lead up coverage of this game had many basketball experts praising Indiana for playing the heat so tough.  In the end though, does it really matter?  They lost.  Winning is all that matters and Indiana was flat-out disgusting to watch tonight.  It seems that nearly every Pacer possession turned into a New York Knick isolation play.  It is beautiful to watch when it works, but a nightmare to see when it does not.  With the amount of turnovers the Pacers have had in this series, I am surprised it even got to a game 7.  The outcome of this series reminds me of one of my favorite articles on Cracked, and the message in that article definitely applies here.  Being a good competitor simply is not good enough.  The world measures your worth by your output and your results.  You need to win.

Random thoughts on tonight's game:

- WOW, George Hill is horrible.  Get rid of that guy.
- Paul George must have missed the flight to Miami.
- Birdman Birdman!
-Why do the Heat flop so much?  It is annoying to watch
- Congratulations to the Miami Heat
- THIS IS THE FINAL NIGHT OF TNT NBA COVERAGE!!!
